Polyurethane tube segments filled with RUTEC R5000 bullet trap granulate.
The tubular bullet trap consists of several slightly staggered rows of polyurethane tube segments filled with RUTEC R5000 bullet trap granulate. It requires considerably less installation depth than a sand or granulate bed. Based on trials in 2018, a two-row configuration is suitable for handgun ammunition up to 1,500 joules; a three-row configuration for handguns up to 2,500 joules at shooting distances of 6 m or more and for long guns up to approx. 4,000 joules at shooting distances of 25 m or more.
A splinter and ricochet protection of at least 3 mm RUTEC R1267 in front of the tubes is mandatory. The filling level and position of the tubes must be checkable at any time; sieving intervals for the granulate are stated with our quotation. Not permitted are, among others, wadcutter, tracer and incendiary ammunition as well as hard-core and dual-core projectiles. Approval for a specific range is given by the locally responsible shooting range expert.
