2. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

access your data stored by us and information about its processing (Art. 15 GDPR),
rectification of inaccurate personal data (Art. 16 GDPR),
erasure of your data stored by us (Art. 17 GDPR),
restriction of processing where we are not yet allowed to erase your data due to legal obligations (Art. 18 GDPR),
data portability where you have consented to the processing or concluded a contract with us (Art. 20 GDPR),
object to the processing of your data where it is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR).

You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority where you live or the authority responsible for us.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated by an external service provider in Germany. When you access the pages, the server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser (server log files):

We need this data to operate the website securely and reliably. It is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and error-free operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The log files are deleted regularly unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

4. Contact form and e-mail

If you write to us using the contact form or by e-mail, we store your details (in particular your name, e-mail address and message) in order to process your enquiry and answer any follow-up questions. Your name, e-mail address and the reason for your enquiry are required for this; all other details are voluntary.

The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures, for example if you request a quotation (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete your data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (for example under the German Commercial Code or Fiscal Code) prevent this. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

5. Job applications

If you apply to us, for example by e-mail, we process your details and documents (such as cover letter, CV and certificates) in order to decide on establishing an employment relationship (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). If you voluntarily provide special categories of personal data, for example information on your health or a severe disability, we process it in accordance with Art. 9 (2) (b) GDPR. Only the persons involved in the selection process have access to your documents. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

If you are hired, we add your documents to your personnel file. Otherwise we delete them no later than six months after the application process has ended. Until then we keep them in order to be able to defend ourselves against possible claims, for example under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We only keep your documents for longer if you have consented, for example so that we can consider you for future vacancies (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

6. Cookies

This website only uses technically necessary cookies, for example for the login area. These cookies are required to operate the website (Section 25 (2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG), Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We do not use cookies for analysis or advertising purposes. You can view and delete cookies in your browser at any time.

7. Map (OpenStreetMap)

On our contact page we embed a map from OpenStreetMap so that you can find our location more easily. The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF), St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. When you open the contact page, your browser loads the map data directly from the OSMF’s servers. Your IP address, the date and time, the page visited and browser information, among other things, are transmitted; the OSMF may log these requests. The map data is delivered via a worldwide network of servers; which server responds depends on your IP address. We do not set any cookies for this.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our location in a way that is easy to find (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). 8. Share buttons

We use the “Shariff” solution for sharing pages. No data is transmitted to social networks when a page is opened. Only when you click a button are you forwarded to the respective network, whose privacy policy then applies.

9. Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS). This means that data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

10. Changes

We will update this privacy policy if the website or the legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
