Limitation of liability
The operators or permit holders of shooting ranges are responsible for the safe operation of a shooting range, in cooperation with the recognised shooting range expert.
SGP – Spezial Gummiprodukte GmbH is only liable for the delivered material having the agreed physical properties and quality standards. Responsibility for the proper use, technical design and suitability of all products supplied lies with the shooting range operator and the specialist company responsible for installation, in cooperation with the shooting range expert.
Our statements on the use of RUTEC products are based on experience with private customers, companies and public authorities. In every case, a recognised shooting range expert must be consulted for assessing the local conditions, adapting the measures to the intended use and carrying out the work.
Excerpt from the German Shooting Range Guidelines
Guidelines for the construction, acceptance and operation of shooting ranges (Schießstandrichtlinien) of 23 July 2012, Federal Gazette BAnz AT 23.10.2012 B2 – unofficial translation
1.2.2 Principle of safety
A shooting range must be constructed and operated in such a way that, when it is in proper condition and shooting is conducted properly, hazards can be ruled out according to the knowledge available to date, both internally, i.e. for the persons taking part in the shooting, and externally, i.e. for the surroundings or the neighbourhood.
1.2.3 Maintenance of the safety equipment
The functionality of the safety equipment must be ensured at all times. This means that the prescribed safety equipment of a shooting range must be continuously monitored for its operational safety by the operator of the facility or the responsible person. If there are significant defects (which give reason to fear a danger to the users of the shooting range or to third parties), shooting must be suspended until they have been remedied.
